I’ve been an entrepreneur for a long time, invested a lot of money in learning, worked with lots of coaches, and paid close attention to the form that success takes. I started to realize, that those who are getting the best results are the ones that are doing things differently.

Almost without fail, conventional practices lead to conventional results, which means that getting extraordinary results requires doing things differently.

I was able to narrow it down to three things that successful people were doing that most others were not.

There are three key shifts that you must make to be able to leverage your attraction marketing potential, such as using stress-free sales strategies, so that you only work with dream clients, make a massive impact, and start making in one month what you usually make in a year.

I’m going to take you through these three secret shifts now.

  👍🏼 Secret 1: Adapt to The New Consumer Mindset

Selling today is completely different than it was one, two, three decades ago. Most notably, consumers are more informed and more skeptical than ever before. They don’t believe those of us who sell.

So, if you’re in marketing or you’re in sales, and your sales process doesn’t address this very critical fact, that the consumer mindset has changed, you’re not going to be successful, that’s just the bottom line.

This is my basic premise. Never before have marketers had such a tough time.

Consumers no longer respond to selling in the same way they once did, they are so good at blocking it out, but they do respond to empathy, authenticity, and authority.

In today’s world, when you can position yourself as an empathetic advisor who gives real value, you are addressing the new realities of the consumer mindset.

When you start selling, you’re perceived as a salesperson, and consumers shut right down.

The stakes are huge: If you continue to use outdated approaches, your profitability and ROI will be tiny.

To succeed in today’s economy, your sales process needs to overcome four key obstacles: credibility, differentiation, trust, and longevity.

This is why employing sales strategies that position you as an empathetic, authentic authority figure is so important.

We buy from people we trust and respect.

We buy from people that have credibility.

The consumer has spoken, they want marketers to stop talking about themselves, and start talking about them, and their problems.

I want you to ask yourself, is your sales seller-focused, or buyer-focused?

Consumers don’t respond to seller-focused marketing anymore, slick pictures, gimmicks, logos, etc. They want value.

Ask yourself, are you standing out, or do you look the same as everybody else?

You know it, and I know it, that most entrepreneurs, business owners, and professionals are all doing the exact same things to try and attract people.

When you do the same thing as your competitors, you look exactly the same as your competitors, you are perceived by your prospective clients as just being another realtor, lawyer, coach, etc. and it becomes very hard to differentiate yourself.

If you’re going to stand out in today’s marketplace, you need to be different.

You’ve got to create a new you that speaks to what you want to be known for. That’s what I’ve done.

You’ve got to find a way to say, “What do I want people to think of when they think about me?”

Never in the history of the world have people had more access to information, but never in the history of the world have people been more starving for wisdom, guidance, and leadership.

 👍🏼 Secret 2: Engineer Your Outcome

Your conversational sales approach is not written, not scripted, it is engineered. You need to create it with the end goal in mind.

This is the mistake that most people make, they don't ask themselves what they want to get from their sales & marketing efforts before they start.

The three questions you need to answer to effectively engineer your outcome:

 👉 1.  What outcome (for your client) do you want your conversational - based sales approach to create? (Primary objective).

 👉 2.  Who is your ideal prospect? (Target population).

 👉 3.  What keeps them up at night? (Needs, desires, problems and pain points).

If you approach your sales strategies with these three components in mind, you'll have a grt impact on everyone you talk with AND get great sales results.

Primary Objective - this is not about you, it's about your potential client. Be a giver. Sell from your heart, not from your wallet. What impact/outcomes/results do you want to provide by adopting a conversational sales approach?

…Meet people, get better clients, raise your fees, get a promotion, travel, create awareness, meet someone famous, etc.

Ask yourself: “If your new conversational approach to sales could do only one thing for you, what would it be?”

Get clear on WHAT YOU WANT TO GIVE, because if you don’t, you can’t engineer your outcome.

Target Population - if you try and appeal to everybody, you will appeal to nobody, so pick a specific niche market and create your stress-free sales approach especially for them.

The more specific you get, the easier it will be to connect with those people, and the easier it will be to engineer your outcome.

The riches are in the niches, so get focused, and serve that audience with tremendous value.

Needs, Desires, Pain Points, Problems - what keeps your target audience up at night?

Identify 10-12 things that frustrate them (their pain points). These are their “Hell Factors.” Then identify 10 – 12 things they will become after working with you. This is their “Heaven Factors.”

The transition and transformation of your ideal prospect from Hell to Heaven forms the basis of your sales & marketing approaches.


By helping your potential client to clarify their gap between "hell" and "heaven" and then by giving them honest, conceptual advice on how best to close their gap is one of the most valuable services you can do for any client. AND that value is exactly what they will also perceive in spades!

Then there’s the law of reciprocity, which is a key component of the psychology of influence. When you give someone something of value, they want to reciprocate, and they will do this by being far more inclined to work with you.
